Confidence in melee diamonds
In 2015, De Beers Group Industry Services launched a revolutionary new Melee Testing Service aimed at strengthening confidence in melee-sized diamonds.
Our highly skilled staff and industry-leading technology will verify diamonds, and identify synthetics and simulants.
Diamonds, synthetics and simulants are separated and packed in clearly labelled tamper-evident bags.
Melee Testing Service
The Melee Testing service accepts goods in the colourless to near colourless colour ranges, from 0.0013ct to 0.20ct (0.65mm to 3.75mm). Round brilliants and all fancy shapes are accepted.
Parcel Verification Service
In addition to the Melee Testing Service, De Beers Group Industry Services offers quality and/or colour checks on diamonds submitted to our Surat facility.
The Parcel Verification Service verifies that parcels of diamonds are natural and within a colour and clarity band selected by the client. Diamonds that do not fit the criteria will be rejected.
In addition, optional extras are available:
- Fluorescence bands
- IOS (Ideal Optical Symmetry)
- No brown/green/milky (BGM) goods.
